Aesthetic General Dentistry was started by Dr. Derenzy in 2005, incorporating eco-friendly construction and digital technology to make the dental practice “EnvironDental.” His philosophy of patient care is focused on prevention to maintain your teeth for a lifetime. He believes that you must establish trust with your dentist. At AGD, you will leave educated and informed, knowing that you have a dentist that will speak candidly and honestly with you about your health and your options for treatment.
Dr. Derenzy trained at the prestigious University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) Dental School, where he was President of his Class for three years. UTHSCSA is considered the Number One dental school in the country (US News & World Reports, 2000). Dr. Derenzy was President of his class for three years and graduated Magna Cum Laude with highest clinical honors in 2003. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association, the Central Oregon Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. D is also Chairman of the Continuing Education Committee of CODS and is an Advisory Board Member of the Dental Assisting Program at Central Oregon Community College.
Dr. Derenzy and his wife Lamar have two gorgeous daughters, Sophia and Olivia. Dr.D can be found fly-fishing around Central Oregon in his spare time. He is a family man, often out camping with their pop-op trailer, hiking, skiing or taking the girls to their various extracurricular activities that Central Oregon has to offer.
